Anthony Myers
Integrative counsellorAbout Me
Hello, my name is Anthony and welcome to my profile.
Counselling Style
I have an open and approachable nature which is underpinned by an empathic core. I allow each client to bring their own content and to guide the sessions. I use my integrative therapeutic skills to assist the individual in finding solutions to the problems that occur in their life. As an integrative counsellor, I am able to utilise a number of therapeutic tools. I work with each client in an individualistic manner and can choose a particular modality (CBT, Person-Centred, Psychodynamic) which I believe, fits the content.
First session
I will use the initial session to understand your needs and what you hope to gain from counselling. Together, we will create a working agreement and will discuss how our therapeutic relationship can be optimised.
Types of counselling
I provide in-person counselling at a centre in Harold Wood. The address can be found on my profile.
Skype counselling is also available. I have vast experience working with this technology and can offer a safe and reliable method of payment. I also offer a free 15 minute Skype assessment.
Location
My counselling room is based at the Willow Herbal Centre, which is approximately a three minute walk from Harold Wood station. It is set in a peaceful and relaxing environment. The room is spacious and wheelchair accessible.

Experience
From 2014 until 2016, I worked as a Mental Health Support Worker in my local area. This role coincided with my counselling studies and it provided me with a platform to work with individuals with a range of concerns. I have also worked in a residential addiction rehabilitation centre as an integrative counsellor. I encountered many types of addiction and provided therapy for individuals that felt they were dominated by their compulsion. Via the centre's addiction programme and my therapeutic counselling, many completed their intended course and now lead more prosperous lives.
