Psychosynthesis counsellorAbout Me
~Currently offering only online counselling~
I work with individuals on a wide range of experiences and challenges. I particularly have expertise in working with anxiety/social anxiety, co-dependency, depression, identity, self-esteem, spirituality and in supporting people with their personal growth at different stages in their life. If you struggle with some of these issues, you might go through life without being aware of your worth and potential. You might struggle to connect with people and form meaningful relationships. You might feel powerless, helpless, and unable to change old patterns of destructive behaviour that make you feel stuck. You might feel lost or just looking for some meaning in your life.
Whatever it is that you are struggling with, therapy can help. The Psychosynthesis model is a process of self-discovery. It can help you to take control of your life. I will be by your side as you bring more awareness into your life, so you can see your challenges and your struggles from a different perspective and find out what is hiding underneath them. I will guide you to connect with your will, so, you can become empowered to awaken your creativity and potential. You can get to know and love the whole of you, including the parts that might feel unlovable right now. You can discover what is stopping you from forming meaningful and loving relationships in your life. You can uncover your old narrative that is influencing your life and decide how your story ends.
About me
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and, I adhere to their Framework. I have regular Supervision, I am fully insured and, I am committed to ongoing personal and professional development.
I fell in love with Psychosynthesis because of its unique blend of psychology and undogmatic spirituality. Psychosynthesis is a transpersonal and integrative approach. Transpersonal means that I see your struggles and challenges as something that is trying to emerge in your life and not as diseases that need curing. I believe in the connection between body, mind and feelings, and that one affects the other. Integrative means that, I use additional models in my work, like Jungian, Gestalt, humanistic and person-centred approaches. Every human being is unique; therefore, I use whatever I feel is useful and needed in our work together, and not be limited to using set techniques. I also use creativity, meditation (guided imagery and mindfulness) and walking therapy in my work.
