Amy Walshe
Psychodynamic counsellorAbout Me
Coming to counselling can be a scary (and brave) step to take! It involves opening up to a complete stranger about things you may have kept inside for many years. The people I work with come with a variety of issues. Some may want to speak about a specific issue such as relationship or work difficulties but others come with a feeling that they have been a bit stuck for a while and are not sure why.
I have spent ten years supporting people with self-harm issues, drug or alcohol dependency, sexual abuse, homelessness, domestic abuse and battles with self-seteem, depression and anxiety. This experience helps me to combine a practical level of help for my clients with the skills needed to help them move their lives in the direction they want.
Please feel free to drop me an email or give me a bell if you have any questions. Taking the first step to get some help can be nerve wracking but I'm happy to chat through different options for you and offer as much support as I can.
