How Can I Help?
You might be struggling to manage feelings of depression, anxiety, family issues, low self-esteem or low self-confidence. Psychotherapy can help you to understand where your difficulties might be coming from leading to a less stress-filled life.
It can be daunting to start therapy, to figure out who you might want to see or what kind of therapy might suit you best, especially if this is your first time reaching out for support, . Do get in touch for a free initial call for us to think together about what brings you to therapy and for you to get a sense of how we might work together.
This type of work can be especially helpful for more long term difficulties that might have their beginnings in early life, deeper rooted ongoing relationships or challenging work situations. Psychodynamic, also known as psychoanalytic psychotherapy, works in depth with unconscious processes that are outside of our immediate awareness.
I provide a confidential and empathic space with a calming presence where we can think together about what might be causing you distress. I have 15 years of meditation experience informing my presence as a warm and confident therapist enabling clients to bring more challenging experiences and aspects of themselves.
In addition, I can offer specific help with the impacts of:
· - Intercultural factors including race, gender, sexuality, class and religion
· - Trauma
· - Physical health issues
· - Navigating the health and social care systems
· - Sexual violence or domestic abuse
· - Self injury, suicidal thoughts and actions
· - Gambling and gaming addiction
· - Managing life's transitions - early adult life, midlife and later life
