About me

I have worked on the front line, both vulnerable individuals with learning disabilities and mental health conditions and also other mental healthcare professionals. I am an open minded, caring and a patient individual. I am very empathic, reliable and friendly in my approach. My approach is a unique blend of humanistic, person centred, transpersonal therapy, spiritual therapy, cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic, rational-emotive therapy, solution focused Brief (SFBT), trauma focused and strength based approach. As an Integrative Counsellor, I work with clients on an individual basis and tailor my approach according to their needs. As part of the therapeutic process, I believe building a quality relationship and trust is a key ingredient in terms of reaching a successful outcome in therapy. I have a wealth of experience and have worked within the mental health sector for over 13 years including the NHS, social services and charity organisations. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, parenting problems, bereavement, self-esteem, relationship concerns, career challenges, childhood abuse, ASD and ADHD. Due to my experience I have in depth knowledge of relationship issues, affairs / betrayal, dealing with emotional and physical abuse, trauma, mental health diagnoses particularly later stage diagnosis of ADHD, trauma / PTSD, narcissistic abuse, working with adult survivors of abuse and work related stress. I am a warm, interactive person, I understand the first session can be a little daunting. I will listen and support you through this, as a therapist it is vital for me that my clients feel listened too and understood. I have deep inner wisdom that guides me in my work with clients be it logically or intuitively. I have a strong desire to help you achieve your goals, from my own personal journey I am well aware that we are all on our own journeys and it can be challenging so please allow me to understand your experience as I am honoured to support you on your journey.
