About me
I’m Cynthia K N. Stephens, a British/South African counsellor based in Dorset, UK, with over 27 years of experience working with individuals in a variety of wellbeing and educational settings, alongside 7 years of professional counselling experience. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about supporting people from all walks of life, helping them to feel valued, heard, and understood. I believe that every individual deserves a safe and supportive space where they can openly explore their thoughts, feelings, concerns, and life challenges without fear of judgement. I work closely alongside my clients by using active listening skills, empathy, and professional knowledge to create a warm, respectful, and confidential environment built on trust and acceptance. My approach is centered on offering unconditional positive regard, allowing clients the freedom to express themselves openly and honestly at their own pace. By gently exploring different perspectives together, I support clients in developing greater self-awareness, understanding, and confidence in navigating life’s difficulties. My aim is to empower each person to discover their own strengths, gain clarity, and move towards positive and meaningful change in their wellbeing and everyday life.
