About me

I work in a non-directive, client-led, integrated way meaning I will always be led by the client and their needs and will draw on a variety of approaches including CBT, person-centred, and systemic modalities. I also work in a trauma informed way empowering the individual and placing a strong focus on the relationship. I have experience working with developmental trauma, anxiety, anger, neurodivergence, attachment disorders. I am trained in working with an extensive list of presenting problems. I have experience working with children and young people and have completed over 100 hours in schools on placement.

Training and qualifications

I have completed my postgraduate diploma in counselling children and young people (level 7 qualification). This specialises me to work with this group, how we can work with adults two. I have completed 100 hours on placement, 40 hours of personal therapy and regular supervision. I also have experience working as a freelance therapist since qualifying. I have Level 3 safeguarding children training and an Enhanced DBS. I also have a BSc in Psychology 2:1. I am currently completing my MSc in counselling children and young people where I am conducting research into experiences of therapy for LGBTQIA+ young people.
