I use CBT technqiues to help people uncover unhelpful patterns of thinking and subsequent behaviours and have worked typically in the following areas: - Catastrophising tendencies - Rigid thought patterns - Panic attacks and disorders - Social anxiety and confidence/self esteem issues. - Stress and sleep problems Working as a Bereavement Counsellor, both face to face and online during the Pandemic, has afforded me a real insight into the difficulties faced by grief and loss. This can be experienced in many unexpected ways, including attachment issues and the particular context of the loss. I have been privileged to broaden this work to actively help people also going through different types of losses: - A pet or emotional support animal. - A dream/hope expectation or belief - Experiencing a drastic change in role/work - loss of a job or facing retirement. My therapy style is warm and interactive and I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity and compassion.
