About me
Have you survived sexual abuse or rape, either at childhood or at later life? Do you feel shame, guilt, anger, fear or experience flashbacks? Are you experiencing physical and emotional reactions? Deciding to attend counselling can feel daunting. The thought of opening up to a stranger about your experiences can feel scary and overwhelming. Finding a counsellor who is the right fit for you is so important and can make all the difference. I am a Trauma Informed therapist with a Humanistic approach combining the principles of understanding and addressing the impact of trauma with a focus on individuals worth, dignity and capacity for self-healing. I will offer a safe place where you can feel empowered to make choices and share your experiences openly. Together we can explore how you are affeced by your experiences, what has happened to you, we will look at triggers and emotions you are going through, the symptoms and behaviours as a result from trauma. Working together we will rebuild a sense of control, healing, resilience and empowerment. I can help you to explore any difficulties you are experiencing, in a safe and supportive environment, and help you to move forward in life in a more positive way. I work in London and in Kent, Rochester. I offer one-to-one sessions for adults in person or online. I offer short and long term counselling. Before you commit to counselling I am offering an initial phone call to ensure I meet your needs, and you can decide if you would like to work with me.
