About me
I’m a trauma-informed, person-centred Art Psychotherapist with experience supporting both young people and adults in education, specialist mental health settings, and private practice. My background includes working in PRUs (Pupil Referral Units), SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools, and with adults in recovery from addiction. I bring a calm, compassionate, and creative approach to therapy that helps people explore their thoughts and emotions in ways that feel safe and manageable. I am registered with HCPC, BAAT and have a enhanced DBS. You don’t need to make art in every session, it’s entirely up to you. Some clients prefer to talk, others like to explore through images, and many do a mixture of both. What I offer is a creative space where art-making is available if words feel difficult. It’s a gentle, client-led process that moves at your pace. I’m attachment-informed and work relationally, paying close attention to how early experiences shape our emotional world, self-worth, and relationships. Alongside my clinical work, I’ve co-created webinars on emotional wellbeing for adults, where I’ve supported women exploring identity, perfectionism, stress, and anxiety, offering tools rooted in mindfulness, psychoeducation, and creative reflection. My goal is to meet you where you are, whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected or simply curious about starting therapy. You don’t have to go through it alone. This is a space to slow down, make sense of things, and reconnect with yourself. I offer a free 15-minute intro call for anyone curious about creative therapy or unsure where to start.

Training and qualifications
I hold a Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy (Distinction), am HCPC-registered, and a member of BAAT. I also have a BA in Fine Art and a PGCE in Primary Education, which gives me a strong foundation in working therapeutically with children and young people, particularly in educational settings. I have completed extensive training in trauma-informed practice, childhood adversity and the impact of maltreatment on mental health, and the development of trauma-informed therapeutic interventions. My continued professional development includes training in ADHD, autism, self-harm, selective mutism, depression and low mood in young people and adults, as well as safeguarding and anti-racism in clinical practice. As a mindfulness practitioner, I have engaged in compassion-focused workshops including "Compassion, Care and Empathy" and "Inviting Compassion," which influence my gentle and client-led approach to therapy. I attend regular clinical supervision and continue to access CPD opportunities to support ethical, reflective, and up-to-date practice. I have experience working across a range of settings including SEMH schools, PRUs, and with adults in addiction recovery. I also have a particular interest in supporting women with issues around identity, anxiety, perfectionism, and stress, which I have explored further through co-facilitating wellbeing webinars focused on self-understanding and emotional resilience.
