About me

I offer person centred counselling. I aim to build a good working relationship between counsellor and client. Through this relationship client's can openly discuss any issues, without fear of judgement. I feel Person Centred counselling is better when the focus is on you, not on using 'psychological techniques' and complicated language. I prefer to talk with clients in a natural, 'down to earth' way. This allows you the opportunity to say exactly what you want to say, and express your feelings to better understand yourself. I have a background in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and can incorporate CBT techniques into sessions for any clients who wish to try this. I find incorporating these techniques in a person centred way allows client to both understand themselves, the root of any patterns of thinking and behaviour, and helps them to achieve meaningful change. I have experience of working with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, family issues, parenting, attachment, bereavement, childhood trauma, low self esteem, chronic health conditions, fertility.
