About me
In my practice, I strive to create an environment where clients feel accepted and understood, welcoming whatever they choose to share. My primary aim is to offer a secure and nurturing space where clients can express themselves freely and receive validation for their unique experiences and emotions. I am a firm believer in the transformative power of relationships, especially when cultivated under conditions of trust and empathy. Together with my clients, we embark on a collaborative journey to explore any psychological, emotional, or relational challenges they may face, working towards healing and growth. My approach incorporates somatic experiencing along with humanistic counselling, both deeply rooted in a trauma-informed perspective. I hold the belief that genuine healing takes place when individuals feel safe enough to explore their authentic selves without fear of judgment or rejection. Anxiety, depression, and discomfort—whether emotional or physical—often arise from past experiences perceived as threatening, which trigger self-protective responses. With the right support and guidance, I believe that everyone has the potential to heal, grow, and integrate these experiences into their lives, leading to a more fulfilling and balanced existence. Central to my practice are the core values of non-judgment and kindness. I am dedicated to providing an empathetic, confidential environment where clients feel acknowledged and supported throughout their therapeutic journey. My approach is intentionally non-directive, encouraging clients to gain deeper self-understanding and discover new ways of being. I am committed to creating a welcoming and safe environment for all individuals, affirming diversity in gender, sexuality, and relationships. My practice is inclusive and respectful of all identities, ensuring that everyone feels valued and understood. Professionally, I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Somatic Experiencing Association UK (SEA UK). I adhere strictly to their ethical frameworks, ensuring that my practice remains aligned with the highest professional standards. This commitment underscores my dedication to providing ethical, compassionate care to all those who seek my services.
