Tier Blundell is an advocate, writer, education specialist and sometime guest speaker on the BBC. He grew up in Northamptonshire, where he was considered a naughty boy and excluded from mainstream school at the age of 11. Despite leaving his pupil referral unit without a single GSCE, Tier earned himself a place at the University of Oxford for a PhD after completing a Masters at the University of St Andrews and an undergraduate degree at the University of Warwick. He is a former professional mixed martial arts champion and a keen narrowboater. He now lives in Leicestershire with his wife and their two dogs. It is his mission to improve outcomes for excluded and marginalised young people.
