Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
Hello and thank you for looking at my profile. Before you spend time reading any further, I'll point out that I am unable to take on any new clients currently. I am likely to have openings again late Summer. If you would like to be added to my waiting list, I can contact you closer to the time I have my next available slot to see if you are still interested in therapy.
I have been working for the last 7 years in private practice, prior to which I worked for more than 14 years in the NHS as a CBT Therapist, an Occupational Therapist and a Psychology Researcher on treatment trials.
I work mainly with adults, but have lots of experience with both couples and adolescents.
My practice is based on my training in Psychology and Cognitive Therapy and after an initial meeting, I will offer an intervention that you and I agree might suit your individual needs as well as meeting the best evidence base available. My aim will be to use the knowledge, skills and experience I have gained throughout my training and practice to work collaboratively with you, whether you are experiencing acute or chronic distress or simply need to look at some of the patterns or traps you may have fallen into that are limiting your enjoyment of life.
I work with GPs, other mental health professionals and can liaise with schools, universities or other appropriate people - perhaps family, carers or friends - who are important to you. My service is confidential and I practice within the professional guidelines of the Health Professions Council and the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychology.
