Steve Coupe
Cognitive behaviour psychologistAbout Me
I am a Consultant Clinical & Forensic Psychologist having worked as a psychologist since 1988. During this time, I have worked in a range of settings, clinical, forensic and organisational, where one of my main interests has been the impact of stressful life events on individuals, whether that be in the form of work-related stress, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following a major trauma or the effects of more prolonged experiences of trauma resulting in underlying personality difficulties and complex PTSD.
I offer a range of therapies which I tailor to meet the needs of my clients. Typically, I utilise a Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) to inform my treatment, but also incorporate a range of other approaches to define and target particular difficulties which include Schema Focused, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
