About Me

I am a well-qualified Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. I have 19 years experience of working therapeutically with Children, Young People and Families in the National Health Services Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)

A number of years ago I set up an independant practice which I operate from a comfortable therapeutic space in the Claines/Barbourne area of Worcester. There is plenty of parking.

I offer short term psychotherapy as well as longer more intensive treatment and will discuss with parents and children/young people what might be the most helpful approach when I meet with you.

I work with children and young people aged from birth to 25 together with their parents and carers. I work with a wide range of social and emotional difficulties which include low mood, anxiety, trauma, self-harm, relationship problems and low confidence. I also work with difficulties with behaviour including sleep problems and eating difficulties.

I specialise in working with children and young people who have had a history of early neglect and abuse and are or have been 'looked after'.

I have experience of working with children, who are on the autistic spectrum, have ADHD and who have specific or global learning disabilities.

I trained in Birmingham for 6 years in order to register for membership with the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP). The ACP is the only accrediting organisation recognised by the NHS for Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists.

I have extensive experience of offering supervision and consultation to other professionals who work with children, young people and families.
