About Me

Hello, I am Pauline and I am a qualified counsellor and member of the BACP, I offer caring, non-judgmental and confidential counselling to enable you to talk about your thoughts and feelings or any difficulties you are currently experiencing.

If you are finding life a struggle at the moment and can't seem to cope or you have an issue that you are finding difficult to deal with, then I believe counselling can help.

We may know what is causing our problems: a difficult relationship, (past or present) loss of a loved one, anxiety, feeling overwhelmed or generally just sad. Sometimes it’s that we just don't feel right inside.

I work with an integrative approach with a focus on the relationship between the client and counsellor, which I believe is fundamental to the success of therapy. I combine aspects of several models of therapy depending on the needs of each unique client. This includes CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) it can be useful to look at our relationship with our own thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. The aim of counselling is to help you talk about a problem and then work together to discover a solution that is right for you. I offer a flexible and thoughtful approach to each client’s therapy.

What this means is that you have a safe space to talk, it may be about issues that are concerning you in your life now, or a difficult experience from the past.

Counselling can help with many difficult situations and I have experience of working with a wide range of client issues, including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, low self esteem, OCD, relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss and problems with anger. I also work with bereaved clients in a hospice setting.

I offer an initial session to explore your current concerns and expectations of counselling and I aim to answer any questions you may have, so you can then decide whether I am the right counsellor for you. There is no obligation to continue but if you decide to I other both short-term solution based therapy or longer term therapy.

Please call or e-mail me.
