Lindsey Bourn
Integrative counsellorAbout Me
I trained and work as a Therapist because I passionately believe that each and every one of us is worthy of respect and a safe and non-judgmental space in which we can be supported through life's challenges. I have experience of working with adults and adolescents in both long and short-term therapy, and I have developed significant skills in working with young adults in particular. I support clients with a variety of challenges which include depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties and family breakdown. I am experienced in working with abuse, self-harm, suicidal ideation, bullying, despair, stress and anger, with extensive experience supporting clients through bereavement and loss, having trained with Cruse Bereavement Care. On a voluntary basis I have worked with Young Offenders and ex-offenders and will soon be working as a Volunteer Counsellor for Rape Crisis. Most recently I have become an approved Counsellor with Thames Valley Police' Victims First initiative. I work from the Room to Talk Counselling Practice in Towcester (NN12 6BX) as well as from my home (MK18 3PA) which lies between Aylesbury and Buckingham. In certain circumstances I would consider offering counselling at a client's home.
