Lenya Samani
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
There are times when things happen in life that prompt us to reach out. Sometimes we are disturbed by traumatic events outside our control. Often, our bodies are held hostage by anxiety, depression or fear, and it is this that prompts us to seek help. It may be that we feel stuck in a cycle of behaviour we can't seem to get out of, or we may be confused by our feelings or actions, and want to understand ourselves better.
Given the right conditions, we thrive, as human beings, and can experience a sense of freedom, inner peace and joy. I work to offer those conditions and make it possible to think about the things you find distressing or difficult, and, ultimately, together, to work with them, and remove the blocks that are stopping you leading the kind of life you want to.
Being qualified as an integrative psychotherapist means I draw on a variety of schools of thought, and methodologies, and this enables me to tailor therapy to each, individual client. Therapy should be bespoke: we are all unique. My aim is always to empower the client and to explore alongside them, while providing the necessary conditions for growth.
I have had experience working with:
- Bereavement
- Trauma
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Childhood sexual abuse
- Domestic abuse
- Loss of identity
- Relationship difficulties
- Issues of diversity and difference.
