Killian Strong Integrative psychotherapist , SW2
I bring warmth and natural, nurturing creativity to my work as a therapist. I'm passionate about offering space for my clients to connect with their vitality and creativity, their capacity to heal and grow, in supportive relationship. As an integrative psychotherapist I draw on a range of approaches, in order to offer you a personal experience of therapy suited to your individual needs.
I offer talking therapy, which can help you find new sense and new solutions, in what may be difficult, painful, or confusing circumstances. Where words fail you, or get in the way, I also offer the possibility of creative and artistic expression. Working with various art materials, methods, and movement, we can give expression to our innermost feelings and thoughts, in ways that simply ‘talking about’ our issues may not touch on. No previous experience of working with the arts is necessary – where the process of making is often more important than the finished artwork.
Training and qualifications
I completed a rigorous training in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy (MA) at the Institute Of Arts In Therapy And Education, London, passing with distinction. I am now a faculty member there, helping to train future therapists.
In addition to private practice, I hold a part-time position in palliative care, working with groups and individuals, at Royal Trinity Hospice, London.
Prior to my professional training I was employed in a variety of mental health settings, in the NHS and charitable organisations.
I charge £50 per session.
I also offer a reduced fee for students and those on low incomes.
