Killian Strong Art therapy psychotherapist , SW2

As an integrative arts psychotherapist I draw on a range of approaches, in order to offer you a personal experience of therapy suited to your individual needs.

Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, a difficult loss, ending, or new beginning - or feeling stuck, for whatever reason - therapy can provide the space and support for you to find a way through.

Together, we will consider your present concerns with care, sensitivity, and curiosity – whilst staying open to influences from your past, and expectations for your future.

I offer talking therapy, which can help you find new sense and new solutions, in what may be difficult, painful, or confusing circumstances. Where words fail you, or get in the way, I also offer the possibility of creative and artistic expression.

Working with various art materials, methods, and movement, we can give expression to our innermost feelings and thoughts, in ways that simply ‘talking about’ our issues may not touch on.

No previous experience of working with the arts is necessary – where the process of making is often more important than the finished artwork.

Training and qualifications

I completed a rigorous training in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy (MA) at the Institute Of Arts In Therapy And Education, London, passing with distinction.

Currently, I hold a part-time position in palliative care, at Royal Trinity Hospice, London.

Prior to my professional training I was employed in a variety of mental health settings, in the NHS and charitable organisations.

Since 2003, I have worked with a wide range of individuals, and often in challenging environments, which has helped me grow as a therapist.

Rich and varied life, and work experience, and a strong creative and academic background, bring maturity and intelligent, imaginative depth and breadth to my work with others.

I have experienced personal therapy across a range of modalities (psychoanalytic, gestalt, existential, integrative arts), over the past ten years, and have found it transformative.

I charge £50 per session.

I also offer a reduced fee for students and those on low incomes.
