I will offer you warmth, care and respect as our starting point together and from there, encourage creative collaboration, free of any judgments, placing your journey and improved wellbeing at the heart of the process.

Whatever has prompted you to seek counselling now and no matter how stuck or overwhelmed you might feel, counselling provides a safe space for you to enquire about yourself and deepen your understanding of what is causing you difficulty or unwanted suffering.

Compared to our every day interactions, counselling involves a different way of talking and a different way of hearing, providing the opportunity to examine what needs repairing, what needs re-framing, what needs discarding and what needs nurturing.

Wherever we begin, I do believe that a supported exploration of our relationship with our “self” can eventually lead to critical insights which in turn promotes healing and a greater sense of wholeness to move forward in life.

Above all else, it is most important to find a therapist that feels like a good fit for you. I offer an introductory session at a reduced rate where you can find out a bit more about me and how we might work together. There is no obligation to continue after this first session but if you do decide to continue, we will agree regular opportunities to review our work as we go along.

I have always been fascinated by the human condition and because there are many different ways in which it can be explored and better understood, I chose to train as an Integrative Psychotherapist. An integrative approach allows me to draw on the ideas and techniques from a range of therapy models to meet a variety of individual needs, interests or preferences.

In my work as a counsellor I have worked with adults from many different backgrounds and helped with a variety of concerns including: trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, issues relating to childhood experiences, adoption, domestic abuse, self-harm, eating disorders, bereavement, parenting concerns, perinatal mental health, Autistic Spectrum Condition, loss and bereavement, the inner critic, self sabotage and more open philosophical questions around purpose, meaning and wellbeing.

In addition to my private practice I work for two charitable counselling organisations one of which specialises in Perinantal mental health where I have worked since 2015.

I love my work as a psychotherapist. I am constantly refining my approach through further training, regular monthly supervision and my own self development. This keeps my work fresh and alive and is an essential element in working effectively and ethically with my clients.

I offer both brief and open ended counselling depending on what might support you best.  I practice across three central London locations in London Bridge (SE1) , Shoreditch (E1) and Greenwich(SE10)

Life Before Becoming a Therapist:

Throughout my professional career I have been committed to generating and implementing creative projects that place the improved wellbeing of individuals and communities at the core.  Working primarily through applied theatre, the creative arts and most recently nature based practices, I have worked both nationally and internationally across a wide variety of social settings and with people from all walks of life. I founded a successful Theatre Company and charity in London and an award winning social enterprise in Cornwall, two very different homeland places that I love.

Keeping Nature in Mind:

Outside of London, I continue to develop a practice that advances the therapeutic use of nature. Whenever appropriate or possible I welcome the opportunity to work outdoors incorporating the natural world as an active partner in the therapeutic process. Even if our usual meeting place is in London, if you are interested in working outdoors we can discuss how we might be able to incorporate this into our work together.
