Sex therapy therapistAbout Me
If you are reading this you are looking for some help and support. Am I the right person to help you?
I have over 20 years’ experience as a therapist, I have seen 1000’s of client’s, young people, adults and couples. I began my career as a nurse and specialised in sexual health, whilst working as a nurse I began to see how people’s psychological health affected their physical health and vice a versa, I wanted to work in a different way so I trained as a counsellor. I have worked as a therapist in education and NHS settings and now work in private practice.
People invest time and money in their physical health, going to the gym and beauty salons, we should all start investing in our mental health, therapy is a way of doing that. It improves our relationships, whether we come alone or together with our partners. If our relationships are good the world seems an easier place to be.
Depression is the number one global health issue, it doesn’t have to be. We are all having more conversations about our mental health, there is less stigma. Attending therapy is a positive step. It is always difficult to pick up the phone, write an email, book that first appointment, but the benefits to having the space and time to discuss what is bothering you, trying to discover why you are feeling the way you do, can be invaluable.
I am also a qualified sex therapist, if you are suffering with a sexual dysfunction it can be difficult to know where to find appropriate help. With my experience of physical and psychological issues, I can assess and fully discuss with you, the way forward.
Whatever the problem is you can contact me by phone or email for a free initial consultation.
