About Me

A warm, insightful, and experienced therapist I provide a non-judgemental, safe and supportive place for you to talk and be heard. I help clients with a wide range of issues including anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, depression, addiction, family issues, bereavement, relationship issues and sexuality.

There are times when life feels overwhelming and you may feel unsure how to cope. Our sessions will give you space to explore what you can do to get through these times. I'll support you to reflect on your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and talk about the issues that are preventing you from living the life you want.

Being able to share feelings such as anger, guilt, fear and sadness with a nurturing person can be transformative.

Sessions will support you to disentangle yourself from things that are not serving you well. We'll clarify what you would like to develop and grow in your life and discuss strategies that will support you to make and maintain changes.

We'll spend time exploring your inner dialogues and thinking patterns. As part of this process the role your inner critic plays in how you experience yourself, others and life will become clearer. Reflecting on the ways you think will help you to understand yourself more fully and new ways of being, thinking and doing will open up enabling you to manage your life and mind better.

Your life experiences may be effecting how you feel and experience your life now. Exploring and making sense of your past can heal emotional wounds and help you to live your present life as fully and steadily as possible.

I see therapy as a creative and collaborative process and bring curiosity, openness and warmth to sessions. Together we'll work through what's going on for you and support you to gain new insights, increase your self-awarenesses and develop strategies that improve your well-being at a pace and in a style that works for you.

Things we might talk about in sessions........

How to identify, manage and express anger safely; boundaries; strength and vulnerability; how you relate to yourself and others; ways to accept what you can't change and change what you can; limiting beliefs, self-critical and negative thought patterns; patterns of behaviour; self sabotaging; addictions; processing and managing transitions; safe care; feeling self-conscious; what motivates, inspires and fulfils you; trust and self belief; self acceptance; listening to your intuition: how to feel more secure, steady, resilient and grounded.

Exploring the many layers of who we are can be challenging, enlightening and reassuring. I hope you would find the work we do together empowering, helping you to create and maintain the life you want with clarity and confidence.

I offer short and longer term counselling and psychotherapy depending on what you would like. Feel free to contact me by phone or email if you have any questions. I aim to return all calls and emails within 48 hours.

I have been in the field of personal development for over 30 years and bring a deep commitment and understanding of personal growth to sessions. I work holistically and intuitively being present to see, hear and witness you.

Originally from California I have lived in the Uk for the last 45 years.
