Hilary Stock
Psychosynthesis psychotherapistAbout Me
Whether you're seeking support for a difficult situation, struggling with a painful event or just wanting to live life more fully, counselling and psychotherapy can help you gain a deeper awareness and understanding of yourself, your relationships with others and your place in the world. Whatever you're experiencing, the therapeutic relationship provides a nurturing and confidential space where you're truly listened to, and met with a balance of warmth, empathy and respectful challenge. In giving attention to whatever is painful and difficult, it can enable the emergence of a stronger sense of self and foster connection with meaning and purpose, potential and hope.
I offer short and medium-term counselling for specific issues, and longer-term psychotherapeutic work exploring more deeply rooted problems, where what's arising now may stem from experiences or events earlier in your life. My special area of interest and experience is working with issues connected with our relationship with food, disordered eating, body image and wellbeing.
If you contact me, I'll usually suggest arranging an exploratory session, which gives us the opportunity to meet, see how it is to work together and decide how many sessions might be needed. This is charged at my normal rate, but I also offer the possibility of an initial telephone conversation (up to 15 minutes) for which there is no charge.
