Hal Dunkelman
Psychodynamic counsellorAbout Me
I have been in private practice as a counsellor for 20 years. In addition I have worked at a charitable counselling agency where I was also a supervisor. I have great respect for the honesty, trust and commitment that clients bring to their counselling.I have worked extensively with people who have problems with food/weight/diet, anxiety, depression, relationships, bereavement and workplace issues.
Prior to becoming a counsellor I lectured in psychology at a number of UK and American universities and worked as an organisation psychologist. I also created and ran a contemporary art gallery, was a trustee of a music charity for many years and served as chair of the literature panel of a local arts association. As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy I abide by its framework for ethical practice.
