I am an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist in private practice and 10 years experience working in the NHS secondary care. I work from the perspective that problems and distress in the present may be related to early experiences. Whether your problems are identifiable or confusing, therapy can help you deal with emotions that are difficult to understand, giving you fresh insight into your life, and happier and more fulfilled in relationships and work.
I offer specialised help and have particular experience in trauma, anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties. I can help if you are struggling in a relationship, or coming to terms with the end of a relationship through separation or divorce, or child, adolescent, and family dynamics and custody issues. I can also help if you feel unable to find or form or sustain healthy relationships.
I also offer specialised help to people struggling with eating disorders and self-harm, and PTSD. I use a variety of concepts alongside a more traditional psychodynamic approach - including elements of EMDR and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy to ensure that together we are able to consider coping strategies and identify unhelpful patterns in relating.
Prior to my career as a therapist I ran an international commercial photography business I had founded. I worked predominately with people internationally, newsmakers, including heads of state, leaders and innovators in the tech industry, muti nationals, artist, writers, and in war zones. I am able to use my previous experience to aid my therapeutic work and have an understanding of how hard it can be to maintain emotional balance in contemporary life. I have experience of dealing with team and family dynamics, workplace stress and also tackling issues of difference. I have travelled internationally and lived in Europe and America and appreciate the pressures of moving countries and the impact this can have on our emotional well-being.
I have been a children’s counsellor for Place2Be, and an Adult Assessor for South Maudsley NHS Trust

I operate a sliding scale based on income and the time of day you are able to attend.
I provide regular long-term psychotherapy and counselling and short-term therapy that uses elements Psychodynamic, DIT, and EMDR therapy in a safe non-judgmental setting.
Fees range between £60-£120 per session.
I also run a low cost clinic for students, those on low income or in financial difficulty.
Training and qualifications
I am a fully trained and practicing psychodynamic psychotherapist. I completed a 5-year post-graduate training at the Westminster Pastoral Foundation in London.

I have an Arts Degree and am a graduate of The RMA Sandhurst.

I am a member of the UKCP and BACP and a professional member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC). All these organisations have strict ethical codes and professional standards of confidentiality and practise to which I subscribe.
