Cristiano Bruschi Integrative counsellor , W1W
I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
I have experience of working with a variety of issues including:
- Loss and bereavement
- Family and Relationship difficulties
- Difficulties in relation to sexuality
- Sexual identity issues
- LGBT issues
- Issues about masculinity
- Identity issues
- Low self-esteem and self-worth
In particular I have extensive experience of working with Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual and clients.
The way I work is integrative which means I am able to draw from different therapeutic approaches such as humanistic, psychodynamic, relational, existential and body psychotherapy depending on the individual’s needs. This way I am able to tailor my approach to each situation that is brought up by the individual during our sessions.
Attachment theory has been the main focus in my work as a therapist. Our difficulties very often stem from our early experiences with our caregivers. These early relationships have an impact on people's present behaviours, affects and relational patterns. I help clients explore the origins of their current difficulties and together we find the most effective way to work through them.
Training and qualifications
I undertook my training as a counsellor at The Minster Centre in London and I was awarded with a master’s degree in Psychotherapy by Middlesex University.
I offer short and long term work depending on personal needs. This will be discussed during our initial sessions where we decide the most appropriate therapeutic plan together.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and my fees are £30 for the initial session and £60 thereafter. I also offer concessionary rates depending on your income and my availability.
In addition I offer online sessions at discounted fees with existing clients, as appropriate.
