I am a BACP Registered counsellor with experience of and qualifications in counselling trauma and abuse, along with issues such as depression, anxiety, panic and feelings towards self-harm and suicide. I work as a Private Counsellor at Horizon Therapy in Gorseinon, SA4 4NW.
I am an integrative counsellor- which means that I adapt my approach to each individual client. These might include CBT techniques for shorter term work or longer- term theories aimed at understanding oneself such as Person Centred, Existential or Transactional Analysis.
It can be daunting and confusing looking for a Counsellor which is why it's important to me to offer a safe, confidential and empathic environment for us to talk in.
It is also important to me to check the distress levels of my clients - I prioritise safety and coping techniques which are aimed at getting a person through the day. I also work collaboratively with you to work towards your counselling aims in a way that suits you.
